Diamond Head- Canterbury This thread roll ..to 1 :-)
Sorry to indulge, got a few knowledge hammer metal fans in here if a bygone age.

Everyone thinks of Diamond Head and Metallica , but

Canterbury was a a classic, a bit daft but brilliant..I think.

Knight of the Swords.... .

Must still have a copy of Lightning To The Nations somewhere? Must dig that out and give Canterbury a listen too.

Thanks for this reminder Cat, never listened to them before but have always wanted to but never got around to it.

Listening to Behold the Beginning now and its awesome, though its a compilation album.

I think i'll have this on heavy rotation for a little while!

Saw them in a tiny club in Toronto last Summer.
Gig of the year for me.
Brian Tatler is a phenomenal guitarist!
What’s sad is Metallica totally ripped off their best ideas and have been hugely successful (played to 33 thousand people the month before and Diamond Head got about 150)
Talent doesn’t necessarily equal success.
